MPC Events
The Center hosts specialized forums, workshops, and symposia on topics related to population research. It is also has a seminar series to bring nationally and internationally recognized demographers from a variety of disciplines to Minnesota to share their research.
- MPC Data Training Workshops. In these hands-on workshops, local researchers will learn about the content of MPC's free data resources and receive basic information about how to get and use the data.
- Geographic Information Systems: Analyzing Data and Creating Maps. This 7-hour workshop will introduce participants to using a geographic information system (GIS) to analyze data and create maps.
- The Upper Midwest Training Conference in Population Studies is a cutting-edge two and a half day graduate training workshop in new advances to traditional demographic methods.

The MPC Seminar Series is held Mondays from 12:15 to 1:15 in 50 Willey Hall.
