Population Training at the MPC
The Minnesota Population Center offers several training opportunities for MPC members, staff, graduate students, postdoctoral associates, and the public.
- University-wide graduate minors in population studies at the Master’s and Ph.D. levels
- Research assistantships and postdoctoral associate positions providing valuable
hands-on experience working on demographic data infrastructure

- The MPC Seminar Series brings nationally and internationally recognized demographers from a variety of disciplines to Minnesota to share their research
- The IPUMS Workshops are a 3-day event designed to train social scientists to us the Integrated Puplic Use Microdata Series.
