The Minnesota Population Center hosts specialized forums, workshops, and symposia on topics related to population research. It is also has a weekly seminar series bringing nationally and internationally recognized population researchers from a variety of disciplines to Minnesota to share their research.

The Minnesota Population Center offers several local and national training opportunities on use of our datasets. - MPC Seminar Series
Seminars are held Mondays at 12:15 pm during the academic year. - Inequality & Methods Workshop Series
This forum is an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to present ongoing research that deals with some aspect of inequality and/or that is methodological in character. Sessions have traditionally been relatively lively and informal. - IPUMS Research Award
The annual Research Award is given for work that utilizes one or more of the MPC datasets for studying social, economic, and/or demographic processes. - Webinars
The Minnesota Population Center hosts occasional webinars on our data sets, often in cooperation with other associations.
