Eligibility for Services

The Data Access Core provides services for 3 major groups; MPC members, non-MPC researchers and departments within the U of MN, and external clients. Please see the appropriate service description for your group.

MPC Members

Assistance with locating and obtaining data for research purposes; subsetting or restructuring of data for research use; assistance with obtaining and using confidential data through the MPC Secure Data Enclave. Services are provided at no cost subject to availability of resources.

University Researchers and Departments (non-MPC Members)

Data processing, scanning services, metadata creation/consultation and more are available to support research projects.

Non-U of MN [External Users]

As the coordinating member of the MN State Data Center Program, the Data Access Core of the MPC provides data processing and custom data products to state and local government agencies, non-profits, businesses, and independent researchers on a fee basis.
